Thought I'd start a wee thread on here showing what I've been upto recently and since I got the car over 6 months ago and to get some opinions and feedback on what yous think,
First up was some colour coded rs and ford inlay badges from dmb graphics

And fitted................

I'm gonna paint the outlay on the rs badge on the back black :)

Second up was a set of mudflaps, I got ones recommended by Keith and their of good thick quality, Keith also got the little rs stickers for them made for me, he also fitted them for me on his Sunday off, thanks again mate :) :)
Image

Next up was changing the rear fog light to a clear one with a red bulb, so they matched but was still properly functioning
Then tinted all the rear lights using fly eye

Recently I've went a bit mad, my mate rab has set up on his own so we've made a start on the engine bay
Got a load off stuff from auto specialists for my birthday/Xmas
My birthday presides :D
Image

My Xmas presides.....
Image
And a fuse box cover I treated myself to with my birthday dosh :D :D
Image

So we got busy last week to get it ready for the rm bodywork open day so rab could show off some of his talent :D
1st thing was to mark up the hinges and remove the bonnet
Image
Image
Then we offered up the under bonnet show plate kit, 14 pieces
Image
And left to bond overnight.......
Image
Flipped it over and got the bonnet vents masked up to have the louvres painted, not the whole vent :D
Image

And the vents painted, absolutely delighted with the finished result
Image
Image

Then started to rip out the rest of the engine plastics that were to be painted inc... Slam panel, air intake, airbox, battery cover, fuse box, timing casing, cam cover, crossover pipe, the headlight washer covers and every nut and bolt cleaned scotched and blown over ...........
Everything out
Image
All the plastics degreased, cleaned, scotched, rubbed down and masked up ready for primer

The cam cover and timing case in primer
Image
3 stage of ultimate green
Image
Image

Stainless centre piece bonded on and a green stripe, the RHS isn't visible due to the crossover pipe hence why the stripe doesn't go all the way across :D
Image

Crossover pipe finished and lacquered
Image
And a little gel inlay from dmb graphics to compliment it :D :D
Image
And the air intake and airbox, finished, laquered and flatted and polished, excellent finish again rab :D and the battery and fuse box fitted with the symbols done in green, thanks again for the free vinyl Keith :D

Fitted the timing housing, header tank cover and other caps and shines bits :D
Image

Fitted the 2 piece cam cover, crossover pipe, etc, started to take shape :D :D
Image

Fitted the bonnet back on, lined up perfect 1st time as rab had marked up the hinges etc so it went back on 100% as it was, plumbed in the windscreen scooshers, flatted and polished everything and done all the finishing wee touches to get it ready for the open day, big thanks to rab for the late nights and for keeping his temper despite me changing my colour choices etc 10 times lol
So here's some pics of everything reassembled and the whole car totally gutted :D :D

And my favourite by far, the car was detailed, washed polished and waxed and waxoiled before winter by rab to protect against the salt and guff on the winter roads, safe to say it worked as this was the result after just a wash and dry :D :D :D

Still to do.........
I've ordered a purple hose kit from Paul roose at roose Motorsport, thanks dalsy for the contact, spoke to Paul today, he said this will be the 1st purple kit he has made for the mk2 FRS since he only got the new colour on Monday, he done me a cracking deal as I was a wosrsoc member and as my kit was his first, plus I name dropped dalsy as he knows him lol, hoses should be here early next week, heres the colour I'm getting,
Image
Im getting the purple lol these two colours came available on Monday, chuffed im the 1st :D :D :D :D

Still to do...................
- wheels black with ug rim
- eibach pro lowering springs, 20mm drop all round
- eibach pro wheel spacers, 20mm all round

ENGINE
- stainless side rails
- stainless ecu cover
- hoses fitted
- sitech racing inlet plenum, in green or black, undecided
- spare battery cover airbrushed, (hulk themed)

PERFORMANCE
- revo stage 4+ software done by Simon at sitech,
- bigger intercooler, my pro alloy mountune one will be for sale when time comes,
- 650cc injectors
- induction kit
- larger down pipe, my mountune one will also be available at the time

And the gadget I'm most looking forward to which is newly available from sitech/revo is
Sps switch, means I can run 3 maps and switch between each as I please, I'm gonna have my big map, 425 bhp, standard map, 300bhp and one around 350/375bhp, similar to what I have at the moment,
Little bit at a time though as I'm getting married in June and I've done well to get done what I have without the misses killing me

Massive thanks to Keith for his help and spare time and giving me vinyl etc
Dalsy for putting me onto Paul roose
And robert mc Donald at

You've done so much in so little time, i like a guy who knows what he wants and goes for it. Your car is a stunner Danny. One tiny little suggestion, i'd put a Black insert sticker in your tailgate RS badge, it'll stand out a lot clearer.

No chance mate after that boy took the cutter to my headlight on the st and tried to cover it up and it took 5 headlights later to get it sorted and tried to get me to pay half! also stole the mudflaps of it and damaged the side skirt doing it when I bought it. They have already said if its has a decat your warranty is void and that's got nothing to do with the cooling system. Heard another Rs owner has had alot if grief in there as well

Car looks amazing danny! Not tacky at all in my opinion! Plans sound good too bud!

Evans at ek are a sore point for me at the minute, my car has a squeak and they tried to fob me off by saying they fitted a fan belt, In truth I don't think they did and the squeak is actually the water pump to the best of my knowledge. Going in on the 26th for the second time....
