Car dropped off at Sitech last night for a spot of mapping, and to try and cure the low down splutter.

Needs to be right for the long drive down and back to Ford Fair!

UPDATE - got car back the next day, fuelling adjusted slightly and balanced the bodies and ran up to 181 bhp which i'm happy with, plus the car drives/runs far better so all good!

Koni's and big brakes also on too - will get some updated pics soon.

well thought i'd better update this as not been on in a while...

Car did the 800 mile round trip to Ford Fair without fault and even returned 41mpg when sitting steady....although this dropped a little when a little bit of sport came along



Then I was booked on to a locally organised tracknight at Knockhill last week, car was going really strong and surprising a good few cars in the process! Only problems I had were cheapy back tyres which made Duffus a bit hairy lol and fuel starvation towards the end of the session.

On Sunday there, I was invited to a rolling road day at Sitech Racing for Fast Ford mag, covered by Ade. Had a brilliant day with a lot of seriously impressive cars and mine ran up to 193bhp at 6400 rpm! After running it, Simon commented that the map had bedded in well and the Optimax was deffo helping.

Tax has now ran out so plans were to take it off the road for some winter jobs however just realised there is a Fast Ford day at Crail this weekend, so it may get trailered up to try the 1/4 mile as its the one thing i've not tried this year!

thanks lads, lookin at cams for one of my winter jobs cos wanting it over 200 horses and it looks like them or head work is next cos the engine is still standard.
