few jobs on the escort

thought a better get ma arse in gear and get the jobs done to the escort seein as is sat in the garage for 2 years next to the box of bits ive been buying.first job was new tca's and polybushes as the old ones had seen better days.

coont of a job as the were tighter than a gnats chuff.thought i would blacken up the antiroll bar.old powder coating was peeling near the ends so just gave it a sand and quick paint for now.might powder coat in the future.

put on some good second hand koni's which ive hunted for for ages.

next went to fit the new brake set up but i need new bolts as the ones ive got dont fit proper.

ive got 2 new rear koni's and a full bush kit to fit on the back,but thats for another day lol.turbo cooler samco had 2 pin holes in it due to the heat shield rubbing on it over the years.

tried to get a new one but hard to find if its available on its own or only as part of the auxilliary hose kit so shortened it slightly for the moment.got a brand new cam belt cover to go on as the old one had a slight shine mark where the underbonnet sound proofing had rubbed it.heat shield is off trying to rejuvinate it as its a wee bit discoloured or else i will be forced to shell out 250 big ones for a new one....... .should be back together again for mid june..ya dancer lol

Happy days Eddie good to see your getting stuck into it mate. I'm sure you've amassed quite a collection of parts over the last couple of years while the cars been off the road. Did you get that new leather trim fitted that you bought a while back looked in nearly new condition in the pics you posted up at the time

mid june i hope mate as long as i get an affordable quote on the insurance.brakes dont fill the wheels as good as yours but they are much better than the std jobbies lol..things dont change with them,even when your not usin them,the still seem to need money spent on the buggers..
