OKay dokay, today got my intercooler and rad fitted with it brand new fans.

Image

Mounted the header tank and power steering bottle,

Image

Crackle painted the mount

Image

Fitted the front bumper and bits.

Image

Fitted all my hoses, tomorrow puting all my new jubliee clips on them.

Image

Image

Also fitted the brake reservoir and pedal box, no pic, (just some pedals!)

Got a problem with my hand brake cable, its too long, is there a way to cut off teh extra bit and re crimp the hoop back on or a replacement?

Image

Image

Image

Theres about ten inches too much, the other side is tight and everything is adjusted to where it should be and is attached to the handbrake lever and we now have this excess. Any ideas? Even thinking about hand making a new hoop witha grub screw or crimp it again after cutting to length?

is there not a way to remove the slack from the handbrake end where it loops through the bracket like a cable connector clamp of some sort, just cut out the excess and re-clamp it? removing it from the caliper end would cause problems i think because of the way the ends are fitted.
the cars looking the bizness by the way fella your doing a cracking job, keep it up and keep the pics coming it's inspiration for us all, lol. i need it anyway

Right today we ( ally and gibby) put all my new jubilee clips on the pipe work and Ally my bestest buddy in the world ;) made a wee bracket for the fuel pump and filter, no pics yet but will get them tomorrow. Got some pics of it out in the sunshine with the wheels sitting in the correct place now the brake disks are on.

Got a couple of wee things to do tomorrow, tighten up stuff and paint the fuel pump bracket, sort a power steering hose. Then monday full exhaust getting made and fitted, then tuesday all the fluids will be put in, coolant, diff oils, engine oil and power steering fluid. Car will be getting measured up for its fuel lines with a remote oil filter set up, all aero quip fittings! wooohooo

Right been busy all day but not on the car! Got the power sterring pipe off and I will sort it tomorrow.

Image

Also got the braces out for the powder coater. Thinking about a mercury grey colcourlike the gearbox mount? Ally wants me to do it crackle black, what do you think?

Image

Then i started rubbing down the downpipe for tomorrow, the exhaust is getting made and the boys said it would save alot of effort if the downpipe was there. Its a bit bashed but will hopefully help them out a bit.

Before

After

Tomorrow the exhaust! looking forward to that.

Right i had great intensions of getting up early and taking the car to ayr (miles away) to get the exhaust done but when i drove out the house onto the motorway i got held up in a traffic jam cos of some bloody lorry on it side for about an hour, late already! The then about 5 miles down the road somethign happened........can you tell what it was yet??

You guessed it.

Image

Can you tell whats wrong with this pic...

Image

I was a very lucky boy and a true gentleman that owns G.F. Autos in Muirhead took a wheel off his own trailer and let me borrow it to get down to Allys where he had a nice new one sitting waiting to be changed over. Once i got down there Ally changed the tyre and got it back on and i went to ayr. The car was meant to be getting picked up tonight and brought back but today kinda blew that to f**k so it will be tomorrow now, cant wait, saw some of the guys work and it was amazing! Looking forward to showing the the finished article.
