UPDATED - WoS RSOC Membership Criteria and Benefits

On looking at our membership numbers, criteria and attendance sheets for meets and events in 2008. It has been decided that we review our membership list/criteria. We have 100 members to date and have members who have not been active/collected their 2008 membership card. Those who have not been in attendance at meet/events within 2008 and use the website will loose their membership status and access to some forums on the site. For those who loose their membership status/access to some website forums are therefore required to attend 3 meets/West on Tours in 2009 to gain membership again.

Thanks for reading and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or queries to these amendments.

Thanks
Lynsey

HOW TO BECOME A WEST OF SCOTLAND RSOC CLUB MEMBER

If you are not a West of Scotland RSOC (WoS RSOC) member and would be interested in becoming a member, we thought it would be useful for you to know the guidelines we have for membership. You can qualify for WOS membership by attending 3 meets/West on Tour events throughout the current year eg. 2009. Membership will be reviewed in December/January every year. If you were an active member and collected your membership card in 2008, you must then attend one meet following the review to gain your WOS membership again for 2009. We meet on a monthly basis and at each meet an attendance sheet is passed round for those in attendance to sign. Also at shows/West on Tour events attendance sheets are also available and are likely to be in our marquee. The Committee monitor attendance at meets and events and once you have attended 3 meets or events you are a WoS member. Being a WoS club member has benefits, it gives everyone the opportunity to meet new people and friends with the same interests and enthusiasm in the RS marque. It also entitles you to discounts from our sponsors (noted in post above) when showing your card/quoting that you are a West of Scotland member and providing your membership number.
