Thanks again for the comments guys

managed to carry on working on the car, and its now ready for its first outing this Sunday at Knockhill

I changed the graphix a little as i wasnt entirely happy with the rear of the car, but looks better now I think, and finished fitting the last of the bits including the WRC spoiler which I love to bits , really finishes the car off IMO

glad i reserved judgement cause i thought it wouldn't look right but i was wrong. It looks mental :D

black was the right choice and the new graphics on the rear arch look a million times better

Been continuing to work on the car, bought a new tubular manifold for the turbo, thanks to the Beard and 8 ball for a hand putting it on

ols manifold off

Image

new manifold fitted

Image

new wheels with Yokohama AO48 tyres fitted for intermedaite/dry weather

Image

Image

new header tank to go with the theme under the bonnet, with high pressure cap, to help with water temp, should work well with the aluminium radiator

Image

had some dodgy guy ask for some stickers to be added to the car:D

Image

Car is going for a full magazine feature on Tuesday if the weather holds up, and back to HQ Garage for some more mapping and more power

Havent updated in a while, so thought Id show the progress the car was making

Managed to blow the engine up , and totally destroy the whole thing in the process, block, head, pistons, etc....., so it was a full rebuild

Ill update the engine build as the parts arrive, ordered brand new pistons, ACL race spec main and big end bearings, ARP bolts, Victor Reinz gasket set etc................ with a brand new Ford blacktop block, oil pump and water pump, so hopefully after its rebuilt will be reliable

Managed to get another Focus RS head, which was pressure tested, vacuum tested and skimmed for flatness, and will have the valves all reground in with new valve stem oil seals, and reshimmed to get the correct valve clearance with the solid lifters

Turbo is being sent to CR Turbos for inspection and cleaning to ensure all is well just for peace of mind

Whilst the engine and box was out, I thought it would be a good time to paint under the bonnet the same colour as inside the car, as I hated the black under the bonnet, and whilst the engine was all stripped down, I cleaned and painted all the parts, pics to follow

Here is the gearbox, all cleaned down and repainted , done plenty other parts, ill need to get some pics

Under bonnet inner wings painted to match inside the car , BMW Space grey, looks soo much better

there was nothing wrong with the engine you just wanted to clean and paint everything

and p.s hope I don't need to know all this stuff to run the saxo
coz I didn't know what half them word's meant
sounds a bit technical to me............ :o :o
