so done what your not ment to do with any old for , yip u guessed it.....took the kit of to see what we had under there

well..................the arches ,wings and sills were all original but after taping at a few rusty bits with ma panel hammer ordered 2 new wings , 2 rear arches and the front panel was damaged so also ordered one of them as no piont of doing all the work as well to do it right , as the floor pans , boot floor and inner wings are all good . with the car never having any welding before

my main idea was to fit a 2 litre zetec or turbo engine to the wee xr2 but have now went and bought a wee mk3 fiesta with 2 lite zetec so think it,ll stay with its little cvh for now

been doing abit more to the 2 fiestas lately so thought its time for a wee update .

got the sill fitted to the mk3 but not happy with the way its sitting as was damaged on delivery but thought a could work round it but just not happy with it , so its getting chopped back of and another replaced , but cause of all the holidays parts are on hold so should hopefully get back on to it this week so been left in primer for just now ,

was chuffed with the condition of the inner sill on it tho , must have been all cavity waxed and proserved alot of the car .

with the mk3 being on hold waiting on parts got the chance to crack on an do abit to the xr2

so ripped the wings and the front panel of and found a few bits of rust so they got cut out and replaced by new metal

so today we lined up the front end which was a task to say the least but having the doors on and off to line every up a good few times and the headlights , indicators and everything on for a trial run before all welded in place got there in the end so heres some pics . 2moros jobs replace the back arches
